2015 Mogogosiek, Kenya

I was blessed to be one of the day speakers during an outdoor crusade in Mogogosiek, Kenya. This small village of only 1500 people was the gathering place of 90,000 people over the course of five days. You could sense the hunger and the anticipation of those attending.
During these few days God did extraordinary things among His people ending with nearly 40,000 decisions made to follow Christ.

Of the many healings and testimonies given it was most profound what the Lord did in and among the children of this region. On a Saturday morning as we arrived at 10am to minister to pastors and leaders we found the seats full of children. They waited patiently in the shade as we ministered and instructed the pastors and leaders of churches. Suddenly the Holy Spirit fell and the entire area became electrified. There were those being healed, those crying out in repentance and joy in seeking the Lord. Then like on the day of Pentecost “when they heard this sound, a crowd came” (Acts 2:6) These children were determined that they would not miss what God was doing.  What a joy it was to see over 1000 of them pray to receive Christ then ask to be filled with the Holy Spirit and watch as God answered the heartfelt cry of these children.

In connection with the crusade a water well was dug in the neighboring village of Chenwongo. The well was located in the yard of an orphanage. The children that live in this facility were spending two hours each day, just collecting water. The overseer of the facility commented that “Nothing like this has ever been seen in this area. It is like God himself has come to visit us!” The impact of this well will continue for years to come. Imagine the diseases that this village will NOT contract because they have clean water. Imagine the educational and spiritual benefits of these children as they now have two hours a day to study, to pray to read the word of God! Only eternity can tell the real impact your gift has made.

God is most certainly moving the nation of Kenya!

2014 Tabaka, Kenya - Bujumbura,Burundi

It was a humbling experience to see people including Pastors to walk a great distance and stay for daytime teaching and the evening evangelistic services. During the course of the crusade well over 30,000 people were ministered to, people were healed of illnesses and infirmities many gave testimony of such heeling's as well as deliverance from witchcraft and spiritual oppression. God was moving in Tabaka with first time salvations reaching over 10,000 souls! God has certainly done great things in this region and you were a part of this tremendous harvest.
It was an honor and a blessing to work with people of such integrity as Bishop Dr. Jefferson Nyatuka, who obviously organized the local pastors of many churches to gather information and do follow up of these new followers of Jesus. I was confident that the harvest of souls will be handled well and will produce a crop of fully discipled individuals. It was also a joy and a pleasure to visit two of the three newly dug water wells provided. The people of this community were walking over two miles, one way, to obtain water. Water that once obtained was often contaminated.

With the mission in Kenya complete we then traveled to the nation of Burundi. This nation that is still war torn from civil unrest is fertile soil for the Gospel of Jesus Christ. We were able to minister in a local congregation in Bujumbura, the capital of this nation. The day sessions and time spent with local pastors will have an effect that only eternity can tell. It was a pleasure to not only minister to these men and women but to sit with them and hear their heart for their nation.

The last day of our ministry in Burundi we received a much-anticipated call from the office of the President, allowing us to meet with him. After a 4 1⁄2 hour race across the country next to the border of Tanzania we were able to meet with President Pierre Nkurunziza in the bush village of Tobogo. He is truly an Amazing God!
God really did do amazing things in every aspect of this mission, not the least of which He did in me. The reminder of the great need in the lives of others to hear the message of good news that God has sent His son, Jesus was clear. The realization that of what Paul wrote to the church in Rome “10:14-15 How, then, can they call on the one they have not believed in? And how can they believe in the one of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone preaching to them? 15 And how can they preach unless they are sent?,,,” The reality that God can and does use people like you and me to do great things for Him. God has begun something in me hard to explain but, something I know only He can do as we work together to touch the nations.
